Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the expansion project of HPCL Visakh Refinery completed at a cost of around Rs 26,000 crore here on March 1.
The Prime Minister during his short visit to the city is also expected to launch and dedicate certain projects to the nation. Officials are busy finalising the itinerary. Meanwhile, according to the grapevine, before his visit, the BJP is also likely to make an announcement on contesting next elections in Andhra Pradesh in alliance with the TDP and
Jana Sena Party. The Visakh Refinery capacity has been expanded from 8.33 million tonne to 15 million tonne per annum. There is no certainty on announcing the operationalisation of South Coast Railway Zone with headquarters in Visakhapatnam though the TDP leadership is insisting on the BJP high command to include it in his itinerary before the notification to be issued for the general elections.
